| how many homegrown starters have started regularly for this team without being dumped. Which pitcher has given us valuable service for 3+ years? Give up? Bobby Jones. It's time we stop blaming the players and look at the higher ups. This is a system that doesn't let kids develop, doesn't have a plan and is too veteran focused. Even the biggest 'win now' team in history wants their team to have homegrowns. Think about that. One ****ing starting pitcher worth a ****, that we developed, who stayed as a starter, in 23 years. One. As for POS. players: 1 catcher (Hundley). 1 2bagger (Fonzie). 2 SS (One who couldn't hit for ****). 1 3rd baseman. 1 cf'er in Payton. 0 right fielders. 0 lf'ers worth a ****. This is referring to guys who gave about 3+ years of real service/value from our farm that we drafted/signed. Not traded for. Developed. 23 years. Wow. And how many kids with big egos/mouths did we keep? 0. So, tell me, what's the one thing that has stayed the same, within this organization, for the last 23 years? You guessed it: Jay Horowitz. That god damn 4 eyed bastard is killing this team! (pr guy) |

| Well, if you're going back 23 years to 1984, there's two names you're not including in your late 90's focused list. Granted, being 23 the late 90's list is the one I actually relate to sadly.

| Well you said 23 years, which goes back to 1984, which would add one to the RF and one to the SP columns respectively. Unless you're kidding about more than just Jay.
