Default Wally's Yankees source

Thought this was funny - apparently Rocky Balboa is a connected Yankees source for Wally... that, or Wally thinks adding some "ain't"s and some "we got"s makes a made-up quote sound more "real."

"We got some good young pitchers in 'A' ball right now that might make us forget all about Hughes and Kennedy," the source said. "Melky? See ya later. You can always find a centerfielder. There ain't too many Santanas out there."

I actually had a "conversation" with a Yankees fan who said that he would make a trade for Santana as long as the Yankees didn't trade Melky, Cano, Hughes, Kennedy, or Joba.

I read a quote in daily news a yanks fan is willing to trade Melky and Kennedy and scrub pitching prospect for Santana....guy probably thinks the twins should throw a few players in for all that value.

The source went on to detail, "Yo yo yo, check this. What I'm sayin', like, what I'm sayin' is, when you gets a Santana on yo block, ya gots to nab that ho. Ya gots to nab her with mad millions. Mad millions."

LOL

It's just so weird. Assuming this quote is real and not something Wally made up to make his story, you'd think he'd want to make his source less identifiable (unless it's an authorized leak). Printing that increases the odds somebody in the Yanks' front office reads that and says "that's exactly the way Vinny from the scouting department phrased it last week."

OTOH, who knows, maybe someday we'll see the made-for-TV movie "Shattered Glass 2: Chop Shopped".
