| That deal makes little to no sense for the A's. The A's will counter with Milledge, Pelfrey, Heilman and Mulvey.

| I see Blanton as a #3-#4 type pitcher and wouldn't give too much for him.

| I don't want to lose Guerra. 18 year olds who can handle High A Ball and develop more velocity, at 6' 5" do not grow on trees. Not sure if I trust Haren will be the dominant pitcher he was this year. I expected last year's performance from Beckett. Not Haren. This is a tough one. I'd rather just get Santana and add a bit more if we must lose Guerra/Gomez. |
