Yeah right. Gomez would be a great sell to the Minnesota fans.

LMFAO. In other words, "We're going to continue to be cheap, and sniff at the post season occasionally, and that's about it."

The Mets don't have to sell Gomez to the fans, just Twins management. Evidently the new ballpark is going to sell itself. Or maybe Joe Nathan will still be closing in 2010, and he'll be the face of the franchise.

Francisco Liriano's rehab must be going awfully good, not that anyone hears about it or anything.

Five bucks says the Mets offer their two best pitching prospects (you know who I mean) and Gomez and this deal gets done.

It must be great to be a Twins fan to know your team is owned by one of (if not the) richest owner in the game but he's too damn cheap to ever field a team that can ever do anything then occasionally get slaughtered in the ALDS.

Tom McCarthy wants to know why the Mets would want Santana to sweep up their steaks.

McCarthy also wants to know why everyone wants to trade top prospects for Rafael Santana.

Imagine if Boston traded for Santana!!!

Santana
Beckett
Dice-k
Shilling
Lester

YIKES!!!

If the Mets can't have him, I'd much rather see the Sox dominate the Yanks for years to come than vice versa.

For Santana Omar has to be willing to open up the farm. I'd hesitate more about giving up Perez/Maine than including ANYONE from the minors. If it takes Humber, Pelfrey, Milledge, and Gomez to get it done...so be it.

How many World Series titles do the Twins have again? Oh, exactly as many as the Mets.

If the Mets can't have him I would rather he re-sign with the Twins. I am almost as sick of the Red Sox and their fans as I am of the Stanks and their fans.

Or if Omar would give him one of the tickets to the Santana concert he won when he was the 39th caller at 103.9 FM.

So neither organization is doing it right...I'm missing your point here?

I'd like to go after Haren, see if we can do something to pick up Sheets and use the money next year to sign the Braves first baseman.
