The "friend" is one of my Jazzercise instructors and he's so proud of himself that he gives the class "play-by-plays" (less the homo sex parts - date specifics, shared backgrounds, likes and dislikes, etc.). The guy is in love and it's so damned blatant and emotional that there is no doubt he is sincere about his relationship and the legitimacy of who his significant other is.

Oddly - this is the first time in my life that I've listened to a gay man discuss "relationship stuff". I've always made sure that they knew that I wanted no part of these kinds of conversations.

It's not nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, not much different than my hetero bros talking about their stuff. (He knows that by no means do I want to hear about his sex life, though....)
