Default List of current and former Mets announcers

Found this list on Wikipedia and thought it was an interesting compilation:

Broadcasters

Current
Gary Cohen: Radio (1989-2005), TV (2006-)
Worked double duty for the Mets during the 2006 postseason. He hosted the pre- and post-game coverage on SNY, and then did the fifth inning color commentary and sixth inning play-by-play in the WFAN radio booth. During past MLB postseasons, Cohen had served as a play-by-play announcer for ESPN Radio.

Ed Coleman: Radio (1996-)
Ron Darling: TV (2006-)
Keith Hernandez: TV (2002-)
Tom McCarthy: Radio (2006-)
Howie Rose: Radio (1994-1995, 2003-), TV (1996-2003)
Designated fill-in play-by-play announcer for SNY when Gary Cohen is off. He called several games for SNY in late May and early June 2006 when Cohen was out with an appendectomy.

Ralph Kiner: TV (1962-now), Radio (1962-1982)

Hosted the postgame show "Kiner's Korner" during much of his time on the WWOR broadcast team and the show returned during the final years on Fox Sports Net. In 2006, with the launch of SNY, Kiner joined the regular broadcast team during the fourth inning of selected Friday home games and some holidays.

Kevin Burkhardt: TV, sideline reporter (2007-)
In January of 2007 he was named the "field reporter" for the Mets, conducting interviews in the stands and doing other reporting during the game.
Lee Mazzilli: TV, studio analyst (2007-)

Former
Chris Cotter: TV, sideline reporter (2006)
Mike Francesa : Radio (2006) - one game only
Christopher Russo: Radio (2006) - one game only
Dave O'Brien: TV (2003-2005)
Tom Seaver: TV (1999-2005)
Ted Robinson: TV (2002-2005), Radio (2002-2003)
Fran Healy: TV (1984-2005)
Matt Loughlin: TV, sideline reporter (1996-2005)
Bob Murphy: TV (1962-1981); Radio (1962-2003)

Bob Murphy's final game as play-by-play announcer for WFAN was September 25, 2003. After he passed away on August 3, 2004, the Mets wore commemorative patches on their uniforms for the remainder of the season. The radio broadcast booths at Shea Stadium are named in his honor.

Gary Thorne: Radio (1985-1988), TV (1994-2002)
Tim McCarver: TV (1983-1998)
Rusty Staub: TV (1986-1995)
Todd Kalas: Radio (1992-1993)
Steve Zabriskie: TV (1983-1989)
Steve LaMar: Radio (1982-1984)
Bud Harrelson: TV (1983)
Lorn Brown: TV (1982)
Jiggs McDonald: TV (1982)
Steve Albert: Radio/TV (1979-1981)
Art Shamsky: Radio/TV (1981)
Bob Goldshall: TV (1980)
Lindsey Nelson: Radio/TV (1962-1978)

Miscellaneous
Ralph Kiner, Bob Murphy and Lindsey Nelson comprised the Mets original TV/Radio team from the franchise's inception in 1962 through 1978. At the time it was the longest continuous broadcasting team stretch in history.
As the Mets commemorated the 20th anniversary of their 1986 World Series championship, Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez were hired by SNY to serve as color commentators for Mets television broadcasts (and occasionally on WFAN radio broadcasts, especially when Gary Cohen is off and Howie Rose covers him on SNY). Darling and Hernandez were key components of that world championship team.

On May 25, 2006, WFAN personalities Mike Francesa and Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo broadcast a Major League Baseball game at Shea Stadium between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets on radio for local charities. Russo did the play-by-play and Francesa did the color analysis except that they reversed the roles during the third and seventh innings. WFAN and the Mets teamed up to raise thousands of dollars for several charities in Queens.

Legendary sportscaster Howard Cosell hosted Mets pre-game shows during the team's early years.

Dave O'Brien used to give me the sh*ts...

I mute ESPN games when he does play-by-play.

LMAO! Lorn Brown is actually alive and well, calling baseball games for New Mexico State University...

Quote:
Brown is still working today down in New Mexico. He’s the host of the Reggie Theus show, showcasing the New Mexico State basketball coach and continues to do voice over work for companies in the area often driving to El Paso to record them. He even did some fill in work for New Mexico State University baseball last season.
Note: this article was from earlier this year. Theus is now coaching in the NBA...
