| At least 2 MOFOites (Ambler and SD Mets Fan) live in the area of the fire. I hope they, their families and friends, and their homes, are safe. This dwarfs anything baseball-wise, of course, but I wonder what MLB would've done if the WS was starting there this week.

| Thanks. I'm great. Actually just got back from Rosarito Beach where I had lunch and I'm going to my girlfrined's in LA to get....good air. School is closed all the rest of the week. We'll be OK. Times like this make you re-evaluate what's really important. |

| I thought this thread was going to be about Mets finally realizing they aren't making the WS this year.

| Thanks, I'm doing fine as well. I live in Tierrasanta, and the last time this happened, in 2003, we were evacuated down to Qualcomm Stadium, with flames shooting up above the trees 1/4 of a mile away - that was a bit scary! Everything turned out fine for us, but a few homes and condos were lost down the street, despite the efforts of the local firefighters from Fire Station 39 - good guys! This time the neighborhood has been lucky, we've barely had any ash, and the winds have cooperated to keep the various fires well away from us. |
