Default Breaking News - Torre Out as Yanks Manager

Hi Everyone !

Torre turned down a 1 year offer, and is done as Yankee Manager.

On Edit : The Yankees offered him a $5 million 1 year deal, with bonuses for the Yanks making it to the playoffs, ALCS and WS etc... I think I heard the top # was $8 Million, but he turned it down.

Why does Torre even want to come back? It can't be the money. He must have a ton and could make a nice living on TV or for another team. We all know that next year the moment they lose a few games in a row the rumors will start once again.
NPG.... CNBC reporting Torre turned down a 1 year deal, and is out as Yankee Manager.

Dickhead Kay is saying he's gone. He turned them down.

They gave Torre an offer that they knew he would refuse. Slick move by the Yankee FO putting the onus on Joe.

Wow disregard my previous thread. Much props to torre for calling the yankees out on this bullshit. They dicked him around long enough and though I despise the Yankees and Torre he deserved better than this for what he achieved.

I posted this a few minutes too early. I give Torre a lot of props for calling them on this bullshit.

I'm not a fan of Torre, but no one deserves to get treated like that. Good for him.

On edit: Well, maybe...someone like Glavine.

Let's see if he'll go to a crappy team and retain his Mother Torressa status.

Thats what it sounds like, good for him.

I'd rather have Torre over Willie. Too bad the Mets were so quick to roll out the Red Carpet for Willie for 2008. I wonder if Torre will retire or look elsewhere.
