Default What's with this day off crap?

Is this the first year they've done this....interrupt a three day homestand with a day off between the 2nd and 3rd game.

In case of rainouts to save the travel day. (Mets lost the travel day between Games 2 and 3 last year).

Ironic since Game 3 of the NLCS should have been rained out on Sunday night, but wasn't.

Don't kid yourself, this isn't about rain-outs it's about Tee Vee - no matter how Bud & co want to spin it.

The goal was to keep Game 1 of the WS (and potentially Game 6) from falling on Saturday - traditionally the worst TV night of the week. They figure that by starting and ending during mid-week it could improve ratings.
Problem is that the season still ends on a Sunday so their only choice was to add off-days into both the first two rounds so as to stagger when the LCSs ended by a half-week.

It seems to me that the Mets have had more than one day off.

They're tired, and too bored to play. Even in the video games. Wright just has so much talent when it comes to his own PS3 game, that he just simulates entire seasons because actually playing is far too boring.
