Default Boras Comments Re: Arod Today

Boras was on CNBC earlier, and said he thought ARod was worth $360 over 12 years, which breaks down to $30 mil per.

Potential Suitors were listed as METS, Angels, Dodgers, and 1 other team which I did not catch. He also said he expected a decison to be made before the end of the World Series.

Is one player really worth 30 million dollars?

This doesn't make sense - if he's listing how much he's worth and potential suitors, it seems already determined that he'll opt out. If that's the case, he can't possibly have this resovled by the end of the World Series...he's still Yankee property until at least the last out of the World Series.

I still think the Giants swoop in and get him. They have a shitload of money off the books this year, and can guarantee him complete fan support, no matter how much of a dickhead he can be.

pass. for 30 mil, we could get santana next year, AND another free agent.
though, santana will easily get 140/7.

I would hope the team would address the real need; younger pitching that doesn't suck.

No team whatsoever will give him 12 years. That means he will be playing until 44. Sorry, Boras... that's not happening.

The guy will get 7-8 years max... now the $ figure is the real question.

A decision on what, exactly? His desire to opt for free agency?

Either that or declare himself King of America. At this rate that would be the next logical step. Imagine if the guy weren't 1 for 60 in the post season. He would be asking to have one of the planets renamed in his honor.

Can you imagine the clubhouse where ONE player makes 2.5-3X that of the next highest guy?

Yeah, THAT'LL be great for team chemistry.......

On the Kay show today, there was a report that the Yankees/Cashman reiterated that they will not negotiate with Arod if he opts out.
