I stopped reading after that. Your first post contains a link to a blog that I've never read before, so...call me skeptical about your motivation for being here. | |

| I just don't see it happening, and can't say that I think its necessary. He's in his late 30's and is going to require a multiple year deal. This is a classic Mets contract. Hope that they continue to perform for a year or two and worry about the last 2 years and 16 mill on the contract later. |

| According to sources in New York..." I stopped reading after that. Your first post contains a link to a blog that I've never read before, so...call me skeptical about your motivation for being here I have no alterior motives. I am new to this board. I saw this on another board and was just trying to get some opinions from other Met fans. I'm sorry if it appears to be something other than what it is. |

| Wagner is one of the most quotable Mets and he always seems to be laying it on the line. When he loaded the bases with Braves in the bottom of the ninth up by one and then got a grounder and a DP? As they say on this board, big cojones there. Do you think he doesn't want to be out there? Yeah he had a few blown saves, and one untimely injury that he quickly got over. but the ninth wasn't the problem this past season, it was the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Even the 1st (thanks Tommy). Trying to fix one of parts that absolutely ain't broke is crazy and counterproductive. |
