he was no bigger disgrace to the 2007 season then anyone else who put on the uniform, he just had the pleasure of being the last bomb to explode.

He was never a "true" Met. He was and always be associcated with the Braves so I am not going to be pissed when he is elected to the HOF as a Brave.

Ahhh, the Braves. All those division titles, and playoff games, with a grand total of one WS win to show for it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Glavine purposely sucked in his last game as an "enemy" Met. I'm sure he and Smoltz will have a good laugh about it.

I am going to search all of my old disks for "Glavine on the Mound". It was on the old mofo, but I don't think you can search for it anymore.

Why is it that virtually every veteran we pick up (via FA or trade) seems to get lots of scorn but little love? Looking back over the last 10 years or so, we got Franco, Leiter, Alomar, Floyd, Beltran, Delgado, Glavine, Lo Duca, Wagner and Schoeneweis. And once the "honeymoon" period wears thin, the "don't let the door hit you on the way out" period starts.

Only Alou and Castillo who are still "honeymooners") seem to be exempt.
