At least the Jets and the Giants had the decency to not even try to be in it this year...and the Knicks just suck. So the next big tease gets to be the Rangers who never play well when they are expected to. Going to be a long run till Feb

Hopefully there will be some mets revamping in the offseason to look forward to.

That said, cant wait to read Wally's next ultimet feature.

The next week is going to be really interesting. I think there was a lot going on behind closed doors here and I think the Wagner quote was just the tip of the iceberg. With a lot of the mouthier players on this team on the way out the door (LoDuca, especially) I am sure there is going to be the airing of a lot of dirty laundry.

What did Wagner say?

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

The quote about Willie and Peterson not knowing how to manage the bullpen.

I'm fairly convinced Peterson is gone.

Willie might be too.

As for the NY sports landscape... unless you're a Yankees fan (and I'm pretty sure none of us are), it looks pretty bleak for the next few years (NY rangers have to convince me they won't buckle under the weight of their own expectations).

Well, at least the offseason is the time for the more entertaining threads around here.

I haven't been on the MOFO too much lately due to school, so here's my rant.

I can only just laugh. Just laugh.

Glavine aka ****ER '07 Edition NEEDS to ****ING GO. I don't care where. Atlanta? Retire? To Hell? Just GET THE **** OUT!!!

Omar and Wilpon - I don't wanna hear **** about saving money and not overpaying. GET THE GUY NEEDED TO ****ING WIN GAMES!!! The Market favors overpaying guys, you overpay guys!

Willie - I have been defending this guy since he was chosen over the guy the Mets "owed" a job, but It's amazing how chemistry becomes so much of a ****ING problem in one ****ING month that it leads to THIS!!! Time to toughen up Willie...since no other player on this team wants to be a ****ing leader. Next year, time to show WHO'S THE ****ING MANAGER

Reyes - Who's teaching this guy not to hustle on every hit? Whoever it is, get rid of him....Yesterday

Bullpen - Laughable. Mota, Character, Sele: GET THE **** OUT!!!

AND IF I HEAR FEELINGS START HIS ANNUAL OFF-SEASON CRAP AGAIN, GET HIM THE **** OUT TOO!!!

This team makes me ****ing sick!! Can't ****ing wait for the Giants to compete for the first pick in their draft, the Nets to think they could win with Jason Collins starting and Allan Houston on the DL...

****ING PATHETIC

I love Wagner. Guess he didn't mind the bullpen management last year.
