I don't want hardly anything on that including what we got there.

Tim Wakefield, maybe to replace Glavine.

Otherwise, what a load of crap.

We are screwed.

Those players aren't tempting even as NRIs. The least terrible among them is maybe Livan Hernandez as a fifth starter. He might be fairly cheap since he's coming off a few bad years, but his year-by-year statistic lines seem to have no discernible pattern - perhaps he could rebound. His durability is a plus.

I wouldn't mind snagging Scott Linebrink to bolster the 'pen. He pitched well for the Brew Crew down the stretch.

The names on there CAN'T Possibly do worse than our current BP..

Guys like Gagne, Dotel, Ronmero, Linebrink can all be useful parts to this Pen..

As well as Iguchi for 2b..that guy got big hits off the bench everytime I watched a Phillies game..

Would Kerry Wood be interested in being a reliever for the Mets?

Bill is willing to take a flyer on Piazza. Nothing too drastic, maybe a 5 year deal with a three-year player option.

I agree that he'd be worth pursuing, even though his overall #s weren't very good. Since he did so well down the stretch, though, IMO the Brewers will keep him.

I'd also try to bring back Tony Clark. I just love SH PHers with power, and even though his BA wasn't good I'd like to have him on the bench.

I HATE that expression. You could fill books with the list of guys who "can't possibly do worse than xxxxxxxxxxx", but did do worse.

He's perfect. He's old, slow, and strikes out 50% of the time. A born Met. What's Richie Hebner up to these days?

LOL Just skimming that list Shawn Green looks to be the youngest player on it. Man do we need a Marlin firesale or what?

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Clark would be I solid pickup. I do suspect he'll be staying as he lives in Arizona in the offseason. Clark also is valued by Arizona for his leadership on a such a young team.
