| I was going to blast you to bits for this ridiculous tripe, but let me just ask you this.. If El Duque's strikeout cant get them up how can we? If Pedro getting Pujols out cant get them up, how can we? Even going back to last year....if Chavez' amazing catch couldnt get them up, how can we? Are we supposed to stop Wagner for giving up runs? From Wright getting into another GDP? How are we to stop 11 walks and six errors? And what chant would work to get Reyes to put the ball in play properly? Now go away. Youre about as much in touch with whats going on as a four year old is about dating. |

I read you guys every day... I was really shocked at just how apathetic last night's crowd was. I mean, people SHOULD be pissed...I didn't get that last night. I'm not talking about rh, rah "Book IT" Mets Rock! and all that nonsense... Last night, the Mets fans were doing a Kevin McRenyolds...

| It's been like this a lot this year though if you ask me. I know it's still in the timeframe of this month but I went on the 14th for the first game of the final series against the Phillies. The Mets had the chance to essentially end it then and the crowd wasn't energized at all.

Maybe this is why they are the best road team in baseball and they SUCK at home.

I honestly don't expect a fanbase that's had its heart ripped out over and over to show up in force when all signs point to this being the biggest disappointment of them all (which is saying something, considering this franchise's history)... but FWIW wellington mara always used to say that the loudest message fans could possibly send to management was not showing up.

| There are Mets fans that don't care if the Mets win, as "long as they try hard" There are Mets fans that don't beleive in booing Mets. There are Mets fans that actually beleive they should get btheir money's worth from a 100 million-plus team, and demand accountibiluty when things don't go well. Put me and a lot of people I know in that last category. Want me to cheer for a team of kids with a 20 million dollar payroll? Sure...just don't expect me to put 50 bucks a ticket for a "gold" game. When I go to any sporting event I want my money's worth, and when I don;t get it, I let the team on the fieldHEAR about it, either way. |

| And how long do those advance sales keep up if the on-field product is uninspiring garbage? The Wilpons are not stupid. If the paid attendance didn't fool you, it didn't fool them either. |
