Default A message to all students out there

If you need a nice quiet place to study over the weekend dont go to a library or stay in your room. Come out to Shea where there will be plenty of seats and quiet.

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Great idea. I have some homework due for one of my engineering classes Thursday. I can do some integrals everytime they play "Everybody Clap Your Hands!"

Now youre just being a dick.

Aw, fugg it...youre right.

When the Mets commit two errors and Perez gives up two HRs before I even get to my seat, Ill be sure to jump up and down and scream and applaud and wave a ****ing white towel.

When they are down in the fifth by 6 and the board says PHI 7-NAT 2, Ill run around the Stadium with Cow-Bellman and chant and yell how great we are, baybeeeeeeee!!!!

When the game is OVER and we lost our division lead, Ill be sure to chant "Yankees Suck!!".

or maybe I can chant "WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"

"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"
"WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!"

Rich youre taking this way too personally. The place is a funeral parlor. It was empty and dead before Babe booted a DP and the Phils were up 6-0. DEAD.

It was also a makeup game in the middle of the week. There's no way of knowing how many people who had tickets to that game couldn't make it...maybe it's people who were only in town for those few days over the summer and couldn't make it back because their kids are back in school. There's no way you can make a blanket statement like that about yesterday...

SC, in my opinion the team has to pump up the fans. It just doesn't work in reverse. It's not the like the Mets and Phillies have been tied for three weeks and both have gone 10-8 since then, battling neck and neck. The Mets have pissed this thing away historically. Really, what is there to cheer about?

If I am not mistaken, the Yankees had a make up this past Monday against the Jays, a day AFTER the final regular season home game. It didn't draw well, either...IIRC.

Cheer that this painful torture over the past 2-3 weeks has come to an end.

Of course, my gut might not stop hurting for a a couple months....

I know, I know, SC. Nothing against you.

Im just so pissed off at the whole thing. Im lashing out at everyone and everything.

There is a Philles fan in my office who was chatting with some people.

I threw a garbage pail at him. Not kidding.

There's no defending ths team's pitiful play but the bottom line is they are tied for 1st in the final weekend of the season. These are for all intents and purposes playoff games. I expect a little buzz in the stadium. I was shocked at what I saw at 7:00 PM yesterday. It was 1979. Empty and dead.

The team totally gave up, so it seems the fans gave up too. Not all of us have given up.... but clearly many have. After the events of the last 10 days, its hard to blame them.
