Yes but at least I saw some Delgado quotes in both the news and the Post. Everything is now fixed with the Mets. Delgado stayed and talked to the press wooo hooo!

Yes. That excuses the other 25 times he ran away. In fact, that's all you need to do to lead is show up once at the bitter end. You've got a great handle on this stuff, Chuck.

You have watched the games. Which player is always the first one to talk to the pitcher? Which player do you see in dugout talking to young guys? Delgado more than anyone is a leader on the field. LoDuca talks to the press a lot. Would you consider him a leader? Talking to the press is not as important as leading on the field. You can say Delgado is having a bad year numbers wise but without a doubt he is a leader on this team.

Well he's leading the team into the toilet then. I don't care how much of a "leader" he is on the field as long as he keeps k'ing on that low inside pitch. It seems that he can never make contact when it counts.

I can name two time off the top of my head that he had big hits for us. A walk off HR and a huge 3 run HR off of Hudson. I think those count.

Oh, you mean like in the playoffs last year...? He only had an OPS of 1.199 "when it counted."

This team has taken their lead from him then. Rest on last year's laurels, guys, because that's all you gotta do to win. See you at the funny farm.

You're right this team is taking its cue from Delgado, the bullpen is pitching like him.
