Default What to be ready for-

Remember after the 2004 season there were all those t-shirts making fun of the Ynakee choke to the Sox, like "Choke- The Official Drink of the NY Yankees", or the NY logo, only with hands grasping the middle as if it were gagging?

Well, get ready for the same, directed at us, from both Phillie fans and Yankee fans.

This off season is gonna suck.

Forget the off season, this season itself sucks. Omar really destroyed the bullpen by not brining back Braddford and Oliver. Schownweis and Sele are a disgrace. Mota is worthless without his juice.

What makes you think the Mets are t-shirt worthy?

As bad as Smith has been, Bradford is basically having the same season for a lot more money and years. A guy with a 1.41 WHIP who can't get out lefties (.329 BAA, .801 OPS against) probably wouldn't help a whole lot right now. He's not been anywhere near the 2006 Bradford and he's signed until the end of 2009...

Oliver had an 11.81 ERA in April, and a 5.79 mark in May, when the Met bullpen was one of the best in Baseball. I'm not sure how he would have lasted on the team until June, let alone be in a position to be an integral part of the bullpen in August and September. Unless he had accepted an assignment to the minors my guess is he would have been gone long ago, and the MOFO would have celebrated when it happened...

Heath Bell has turned out to be the worst of all the moves, especially for Ben Johnson. Although I don't go in for the "he wasn't given a chance" BS. The best career ERA the guy has against any NL East team is the Phillies at 4.34. Not exactly a good indicator of future success...

I can't believe Wilpon let McDowell, Orosco, Myers, Gooden, Darling, Ojeda, Fernandez, Cone, and Aguilera get away.

I thought I saw Myers warming up in the pen last night. He's probably younger than El Duque.

They'd leave him in there until Scioscia hits a home run.
