Default Missing the post season good?

Let's be honest:

Wright and Reyes are young enough where this season won't be their last shot by a long shot. Can missing the 2007 PS be a catalyst like the Kazmir trade? Implode that bullpen and get rid of the terrible steamboat. It is beyond his moves. Look, a team that plays like this and looks like this needs its manager removed. I am sorry. I know the players play, but man, my gut tells me that Willie's funk is ruining this team.

See what I did there?

Missing the PS would be better for me and my blood pressure at this point.

Right. I mean, how far do they really expect to go? And please, no one give me the 2005 White Sox or 2006 Cardinals. Those teams had guys that played hard and peaked at the right time. And the Cardinals had the added bonus of playing the mets in the post season.

Missing the postseason is not a good thing. The Mets needs going into the 2008 season are apparent either way. Might as well see what you can do in the playoffs - in a short series, anything can happen.

This team is more "built to win now" than a lot of us have been willing to admit. Like with Piazza, we are about to close the window we had to win something while we had Pedro. We have a nice "core" in Reyes (although I am starting to think he may have been a tad overrated) Wright, Beltran.

But really, what else do we have to make anyone think this team is so built for the long haul that we can afford to throw 2007 away as we are probably about to do?

Looking at how the Met and skank seasons have turned this might end up being the worst baseball season ever.

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

It's sure looking as if you may be right about that.

This will be the ultimate indignity. Somehow the Mets will once again be cast as "the worst team money can buy" and the $210 million Yankees will be perceived as the underdog that came back from the dead. I can't believe this is happening. On second thought, yes I can.

A postseason miss is what it is going to take for the Mets to even think about canning Willie...I would be for it at this point.

I think Willie just put Sosa back on the mound just now.
