Default Hey Willie, Shut Up

From today's DN:

Said Randolph: "When we sip champagne later on, it'll be a little sweeter."
The only champagne you are going to be sipping this October is if you go to the store and buy it yourself to celebrate taking over the Yankees.

what is this now, 5 straight loses in which the team had a solid lead? This is like that week in June all over again.

Everyone knew this teams achilles heel was the staring pitching. It may have taken 145 games or so... But maine, perez, el duque, and the others are doing us in.

Yes, but how many wins have the pen blown for Glavine this year?

Said Randolph: "When we sip champagne later on, it'll be a little sweeter."

Is Willie going to become a wino in the off season?

I'm really hoping he was kidding when he said that because otherwise it is indicative of the arrogance and sense of entitlement the Mets have been carrying around all season.

Even if Willie was kidding, it wasnt funny back then, and it sure as hell isnt funny now. The team is imploding, and nobody on the team seems to realize it yet. They seem to have this "all is well" mentality, and it makes no sense.

I hope they can find their A game soon. If not, I hope a lot of heads will roll in the offseason, starting with Willie and much of the bullpen.

I might become a wino if they blow this lead....
