Default El Duque out at least another week

Seriously, the Mets should find someone outside of the organization a little better than Dave Williams to make a start or two in El Duque's place if the Mets plan to keep Pelfrey in the rotation and if they plan on keeping a si-man rotation.

Though he can continue to work out, the Mets have told reporters that Orlando Hernandez will not be able to start for the Mets until at least the final week of September, while wearing a boot designed to relieve pressure and pain from a bunion and tendon in his right foot.

…bunions…arthritis…jeez, get this guy a cane…

…well, look, if he can’t pitch in a game before the end of the month, and he’s unable to run and keep in total shape, guess what, he’s not going to be ready for the playoffs…unreal…un…real…

Good thing willie was using him as a pinch runner(twice) while he was still "healthy"

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

What a ****ing joke he is. Just set the rotation as Pedro/Glavine/Perez/Maine and get it over with already. Tired of this guy...

Why not? As long as he pitches one game (which, of course, would be after he's running again), the outcome of that game will determine his readiness. If he goes 6+, allowing 1 or 2 runs, he's ready. If he's shelled in the 4th, he's not. Then it's pen or bench for the DS, with Smith moving into the pen if Duque can't.

I cannot IMAGINE the Mets are going to keep up this ridiculous 6 man thing if the pressure remains constant over the next 2 weeks. Dave Williams pitching for the season. My GOD.
