Default Do Mets deserve the playoffs/Does Willie get fired?

Do the Mets really deserve to make the playoffs? I would say no.

And if they don't get in, does Willie get fired. I would say yes.

Yes they do make the playoffs. Deserve it ? I would still say yes.

But if they dont, then I HOPE Willie gets fired. If he doesnt, he gets another year to ruin my stomach

**** this "do we deserve to make the playoffs?" nonsense...

Did the 2006 Cardinals "deserve" to make the playoffs with how they came down the stretch? How'd that turn out again?

I ask this question -

If not Willie, then who manages this team? It seems like you guys want someone who knows what they are doing and has been here before.

If so, then here are your realistic candidates:
1. Phil Garner
2. Dusty Baker
3. Buck Showalter
4. Bob Brenly

3 have pennants, and Buck managed first place team.

Don't tell me you want Girardi, because he never managed millionaires. Don't tell me you want Backman, Oberkfell or some other minor league manager, because a World Series is way more tough to win than a Governor's Cup. So who is it?

I don't want Willie gone (not yet anyway)... but...

My take is that Willie won't be fired, but I think some players will be... (for a change)...

Jolten Joe Girardio...if we can pry him away from the Bankees. I'll take my chances with the millionaire thing. Second choice is Buck.

Does Peterson get any blame for the mis-management of the pen? Or has it been established that the bullpen moves are all Willie at this point?

Girardi? Don't you remember the whining and bitching from this insecure fan base when we hired a Yankee and a Torre disciple? Now you want to do it again?

Besides there's a reason he only lasted a year in Florida and is back in broadcasting despite being reigning manager of the year

All Omar will do is resign gimpy for 2 years, let LoDuca go, resign Castro and pick up some middle relief that will need Tommy John urgery come April.

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Beltran needed some urgery to come out of the dugout in April. That didn't work out too bad.

He will need to do a little better than that.

Whatever happens the rest of this season, changes need to be made.

Gotta agree. Peterson should start taking some grenades here.

I would look to someone in the organization currently if Willie is fired.

How about Oberkfell? Hojo, perhaps?

I'd take HoJo in a heartbeat. Not because I think he's qualified, but because I know Willie is not.

Think about this: Willie has taken a team with HUGE talent, and in the first year came up short in the NLCS, and then in the second year has brought them to the brink of not making the playoffs, even though the division is a total joke. And Omar should take a lot of the heat also.
