Default Tyler Yates? REALLY????

Tell it, Howard!

“I think we are the class of the NL East,” Yates said. “We have a better lineup, and, I like the bullpen,” he added, smiling immodestly.

Who eff are you, Pudley?

You could make a case for the Braves line up but not the pen and not the starters.

Quotes like that really are created for one thing: to laugh at later.

Ask David Cone. "We're better" quotes rarely, if ever, work.

Notice the two guys yapping in that article were released by the Mets. Looks like they have their own personal agendas driving their bravado.

They shouldn't have to beat the Braves any more than they should beat the Phillies or Marlins or Nationals. Matter of fact, they should be more concerned with the final two, because those are the games (against the weaker teams) that they SHOULD expect to win 75% of the time.

The Mets "owe" the Braves nothing, when it comes down to it. They're just another team that finished below them last year, and has been chasing them the whole year in 2007.

They had their chance to pass the Mets earlier in the year when they were horrid in June & July....they spent that time losing to Florida, Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit, Boston, Cincinatti, St. Louis, San Francisco, and Arizona.

all that really matters is that, apparently, the METS players feel that way....judging by Wright's quote
