| As per SportsNite, he went on "Bereavement Leave" after the game, which can be up to a week. No word yet on whether they'll call up a replacement or activate Beltran.

Unfortunately, I expect to see Ledee, though I would hope it would be Ambres.

As for Beltran, hardly suprising that this pussy will be out another 5-7 days. Where are all the people that said when he went on the DL "That's ok, shut him down and he will be back for the last braves game".

He said Beltran's injury really isn't that serious but the team was NOT going to rush him in any way. In any event, it doesn't matter that he missed the Braves series or even if he misses this series...the key is to have him healthy for the stretch run and aside from getting his oblique to heal, the time off is probably going to help his legs too. Hopefully it helps his production.

| Perhaps slightly. I'd be more sympathetic if it was his mom, perhaps. I mean, no doubt that it's sad losing a grandparent. But if you can say you are a grandparent when you die, chances are you lived a pretty long life. Anyway, my condolences.
