Default Burgos expected back in September...

Hadn't seen this posted anywhere, thought it was worth a mention...everything else I saw said he was done for the year, this is the first I've seen anything saying he'll be back this season:

Reliever Ambiorix Burgos, whose elbow problems apparently won't need surgery, is throwing off a mound in Port St. Lucie. He's expected to rejoin the Mets in September.
Kinda sucks that he won't be postseason eligible - although it's probably not realistic to expect him to be able to be a major piece, it would be nice to have the option if he is effective...

I really wouldn't trust the Mets medical staff with a common cold at this point.

So he practically sits out the season, with an elbow problem, which prevented him from pitching for all this time, and now has been determined does NOT require surgery?

Ok....

I'm just glad that these "doctors" are not treating my dad... He'd probably been dead by now, and they would still be declaring him day to day...

Arent these "doctors" the same "doctors" that helped Jose Reyes stay on the field and off the DL with hamstring injuries...

Oh c'mon. 1 case right out of many... that's as inept as it gets, my friend. Nice try with the semantics....

You don't find this stuff about Burgos strange? It is all too common with this team when it comes to player injuries. Indecision, people not saying everything, misdiagnoses, players refusing DL time, short rosters. Who exactly is diagnosing these players, Stevie Wonder? Burgos sits out for months with an elbow injury... could not pitch at all, yet NOW they are saying doesn't require surgery. WTF?

The Mets medical staff is so bad that every team in Baseball (and other sports) sends their elbow injuries to their team Dr Altchek, or however the hell you spell it...

How are the doctors keeping Reyes hamstrings healthy? What are they prescribing Vitamin H?
