Default Mets offered Gomez for MinorLeague SF Pitcher

http://www.mercurynews.com/giantshea...nclick_check=1

"...The Giants still think a lot of Sanchez, as do other clubs. According to sources, they turned down an offer from the New York Mets that would have sent 21-year-old outfielder Carlos Gomez to San Francisco..."

I dont think I would have liked that move.

Something smells very fishy here...

SF has no OF prospects.. The OF is very old and they decline a top OF prospect for a Reliever?

Sorry just doesnt add up.. Unless SF is adding more then just Sanchez that they failed to mention

I don't buy this if Omar really offered up Gomez for Sanchez it'd be all over the N.Y papers.

You really can be so naive to think that every trade talked about between general managers ultimately gets to the papers.

"Mets offered Gomez for Minor League SF Pitcher"

Actually, he's a major league pitcher.
Made his debut a year and a half ago and has appeared in 54 games since.

No, but when a major prospect who the Gm makes untouchable in other trades is offered up it usually does.

So, Gomez was untouchable because you read it in the paper?
