Default Wrigley Field

Anyone been there before? I'm heading to Chicago next week for about 5 days and am taking in the Mets-Cubbies game on 8/3.

First time for me at Wrigley and needless to say, I'm pumped that it will be the Mets who I'm going to see. Anyone have any suggestions about places around there to go or anything like that?

Well, don't know what you're into, but the world famous Improv Olympic is right across the street, and they have good shows there every night of the week. The Metro is right around there (on Clark) and that's a pretty venerable rock club. The Musicbox is a great "movie house" movie theater that shows independents, and has special midnight showings of movies like The Goonies or Blues Brothers.

Hi Ilpadrino !

I cant give you much advice on what to do there, but I went to a Cubs game @Wrigley a few years ago. I saw 2 cars have a head on collision (no injuries), but each car had a fair amount of damage. When they both realized they were going to the game, and the game was about to start soon... they both looked at each other and said "dont worry about it" . Clearly, the game was much more important than their cars. Talk about loyalty to their team !!!

At any rate, even though it wasnt the Mets playing, I still had a great day. It is a great place to watch a baseball game as it was many years ago. Enjoy !

Hey I'm going to the same game!

I'm going to hit Murphys afterwards with my cousin. Apparantly its a big Dayton University hangout as that is where my cousin went to school to. I'm sure I'll be bumming around the bars both pre and post game as well (well after Murphy's)

"Use of unnecessary violence in the apprehension of the Blues Brothers has been approved."
