| I like the Gotay Cano comparison. Both were born in 1982 and signed in 2001. When Cano came up and impressed with his hitting Torre praised him and compared him to Rod Carew. Gotay is hitting even better then Cano did and Willie throws cold water on it saying he needs to improve. Now before you willie lovers have a conniption I'm not trying to be critical I just find it humorous.

Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound. During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly. |

| Maybe one of my favorite Willie quotes of all time, talking about Milledge: “Well, just because you get hits doesn’t mean everything is all well and fine." The only way that wouldn't be moronic is if he was talking about Grant Roberts. |

If so, he is right, and Gotay is working hard at correcting the problem (as evidenced by last night... it was the sharpest 2B he has played all season)...

Because his point was not even remotely anything deragatory but that over the last week plus of time Milledge had been having better at-bats, a better approach and the "statistical" results were only a matter of time. You appear to have take one sentence from a much larger set of sentences in the post game interview. | |
