Default Torre & Cano vs Willie & Gotay

I like the Gotay Cano comparison. Both were born in 1982 and signed in 2001. When Cano came up and impressed with his hitting Torre praised him and compared him to Rod Carew. Gotay is hitting even better then Cano did and Willie throws cold water on it saying he needs to improve. Now before you willie lovers have a conniption I'm not trying to be critical I just find it humorous.

GET THE PIECE OF CRAP McGimpy OFF MY TEAM NOW!!!!!

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

I think Randolph could be heap praise a bit more than he does, but I LOL'd when I heard the Carew/Cano comparisons.

I mean...how f*cking ridiculous is that.

Hey... Willie also threw cold water on Milledge's arm after two rather stellar throws. And we all know how that turned out.

Maybe one of my favorite Willie quotes of all time, talking about Milledge:

“Well, just because you get hits doesn’t mean everything is all well and fine."

The only way that wouldn't be moronic is if he was talking about Grant Roberts.

To be fair, was Willie referring to Gotay's defense?

If so, he is right, and Gotay is working hard at correcting the problem (as evidenced by last night... it was the sharpest 2B he has played all season)...

Willie Randolph, talking to reporters last night, when asked if he is comfortable with the way Gotay looks at the plate…
“I’m comfortable with us winning, that’s what it boils down to for me. I don’t get so much wrapped up in the individual stuff, it’s nice when guys get their hits. He’s always contributing, he’s been contributing, it’s nice that he got a few hits tonight to help us win the ballgame, and he’s swung the bat relatively well all season.”

I assume you are taking this out of the context it was given in last night? Unless he has said this more than once?

Because his point was not even remotely anything deragatory but that over the last week plus of time Milledge had been having better at-bats, a better approach and the "statistical" results were only a matter of time. You appear to have take one sentence from a much larger set of sentences in the post game interview.

I love when people don't post entire quotes.

Hooray for agenda advancement.

Dammnit freak! Why you gotta ruin the anti-Willie movement? You could had AT LEAST waited until they come up with "better" managers so we can point and laugh at them.
