| Milledge, Heilman, Smith and Pelfrey for: Brian Roberts, Dannys Baez, Chad Bradford and Kevin Millar Roberts becomes a threat batting 2nd and playing a solid second everyday. Reyes + Roberts equals one of the best 1-2 punches in MLB. Baez IMHO is an upgrade over Heilman because he wants to pitch in relief. Bradford is a big upgrade over Smith and is loved over here Millar becomes the main guy off the bench.

| Again.. Angelos will NOT trade Brian Roberts.. ... He loves him and he is to much of a fan favorite.. HE already put the kibosh on a deal in the offseason to get both Giles and LaRoche from Atl for Roberts and Penn because he does not want to trade Roberts... and how is someone with a 6+ ERA an IMPROVEMENT over what we have now?

Angelos may not WANT to trade Roberts, but blow him away with Blue Chips like Milledge and Pelfrey and he can retool his team to win in a year or two. LaRoche is not a guy that is a deal breaker and Giles for Roberts is a bad trade if you ask me. I'd take Roberts over 85% of the 2nd baseman in the league.

| Senior Member | Bradford is definitely not a huge upgrade over Smith, especially for peanuts on the dollar and with Bradford's back bound to act up over the course of his deal. Baez might want to pitch in relief, but outside of 2001 and 2005 he hasn't been very good at it. He's also making $6 million this year, with about $11 million due over the next two. Both of those guys could be considered salary dumps, and based on current performance the O's would make out like bandits. It rarely seems to work when teams sink a lot of money into the bullpen, and it isn't for Baltimore this year either... |
