Default Is Alou with the team today?

In LoDuca's weekly spot, Beningo said something about Alou being in the game tomorrow, but Metsblog said he's going to be activated today.

Anyone hear anything about it one way or the other?

We know he's in town, since he played last night for Brooklyn. David Lennon in Newsday says he's scheduled to play tonight.

Unless there's a reason to delay, he should be playing. With a RHP going for the Pirates, it's possible Willie may want to give Anderson the start, but otherwise it should be Alou.

We'll know if he's playing by looking at the final score. If the noffense returns, Alou is still out.

He'd BETTER be playing tonight.

His appointment for the torn MCL is set for Saturday. He can't miss it.

HAHAHA. All kidding aside, I was reading in the papers this weekend that his leg was feeling fine but he had some ice on his shoulder after one of the games which he said is new. Hopefully that was just him working back into playing shape.

No, sadly enough, I read that the sore shoulder happened on a swing he took during the rehab assignment.

Don't laugh too hard at my post...it may not be funny in a few days.

Just, if he's going to totally break down, please, Moises, do it BEFORE next Tuesday??

I believe I read somewhere that they are going to wait until game time before activating him. Willie wants him to test the leg before the game and see if he is a go tonight. If not there is no reason to activate him.

It shouldn't matter who the hell is pitching for the Pirates. I'm pretty sure Alou could hit a golf ball shot out of a cannon.

Geez you'd think he'd play a least one game before his latest injury.

I guess we'll have to wait a few more days to be the envy of all MLB by adding Moisy, Chavy and Pedro-ey.

And they'll all be back better than ever in fact after Alou's shoulder heals he'll never get hurt again.
