| 1) Sosa--blowing a 4 run lead 2) Goat (ay)--the E that took us out of the game 3) Willie--for allowing Sosa enough slack to blow the lead Gotta go with Sosa. Inexcusable...What is wrong with him? How can this be the same guy who shut out Detroit? |

| Super Moderator | I don't think his hamstring is 100 percent, though the Mets medical staff will tell everyone that he is....

Even Ronnie had pointed out in his last start that Sosa did not look right, and seemed to be favoring his injury a bit...

| Which will lead to shoulder and arms problems. If he's not ready... don't let him start. I don't understand why this team hasn't learned from this stuff yet

| I didn't see the game other than the end so I can't comment on his leg, but honestly, I'm not surprised when Sosa pitches well nor am I surprised when he gets smacked around. Though, even a no. 5 starter really should not be coughing up 4-run leads to a team that, while they hit for a good average, is not powerful. Oh those 3-run homers.... |

| It is the ass end of the rotation, he's not supposed to be great every time out.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut If you had to pick a goat for today, it's him. You can't cough up a 4-run lead like that. Gotay's play was horrendous as it was as basic a 5-4-3 DP as you can have, but the Mets were already down and while no one knows what would have happened if it stayed that way, you can't assume Beltran would have still hit the home run in the eighth. Things would have probably been different. IMO, it's Sosa, Lo Duca, then Gotay. It's un-f*cking-real how many times Lo Duca is killing rallies with GIDPs. | |

| it's also amazing that our best option was duke. if he didn't believe in green, get him off the team. He provides no defense, hasn't hit in a while and has no speed. Paul was a sure fire dp, and yes, I did call it. As did many here I would assume. |

All kidding aside, doesn't Green have the best numbers with RISP, albeit not fantastic numbers, but the best on the team?

| Lack of depth off the bench is showing... No way you should use Lo Duca in that situation, but he's probably the best bet...Almost loaded the bases with a walk... I'da gone with Green....Wehn they said "Lo Duca" you all know what you were thinking! |
