| Tom Glavine. As long as he keeps on getting no decisions with 6 earnies in short innings in Met wins I AM GOLDEN BTW- say the regular season ended tomorrow. Assume that Pedro has looked somewhat better than ok in about 7-8 starts. Who ends up being in the 4 man postseason rotation assuming the Mets are in the playoffs? THAT is when we'll see if Willie and Omar are into appeasing veterans or actually winning important games. If Tommy G. picks up the ball in game 1-3 of any playoff series..............

| SHOULD be: Maine, Perez, Pedro, Duque WILL be: Glavine, Maine, Perez, Pedro Sorry Frank - but as much as it sucks, you and I both (along with everyone else here) know he's starting game 1 if they make the playoffs...

Not defending that HORRIBLE outing last night or his putrid attempts in the last month, but he has the ability.

| Yeah, he does - but Duque, Maine and Perez have EARNED their spots this year. Glavine has basically sucked for the most part and been handed a spot in the rotation due to his quest for 300. Even Sosa has pitched better.

| Senior Member | Exactly...based on his playoff performance last year (and for most of his career)....Glavine is going to get a start there. I don't have a problem with that. The major issue to me is not him getting the start, but if he does go out and sucks then what? Does he get another shot or not? In any case this is actually a good problem to have. If there's a healthy Pedro the Mets should have 5 guys worthy and who have all backed it up with experience when it comes to pitching in the playoffs. |

Took me about 10 seconds to get this but when I did I spat coffee so hard that I probably broke my monitor with the projectile.....

| Yesterday's game was the biggest choke job. How do you get a 6 run lead, sitting on 298 and can't go 5 to the get the W?
