| Idiot. Rollins is having a nice year but his slugging numbers are getting a significant boost from playing in that joke of a ballpark in Philly. No way should he be on the team in place of Reyes. |

| I saw this too and couldn't believe it. Kruk actually said that nobody wants to see steals; they want homers. By that logic, they should just pick the people with the most homers and nothing else. I think these people are missing the point about Reyes. For one, the ball parks are a big factor as someone mentioned. Not only that but Reyes understands his role as a lead off guy and has seemd to take a lot of pride in geting on base anyway he can. That, of course, will take away from the power numbers but I'll take a batting average of over .300, an OBP of close to .400 and 40 steals from my lead off guy anyday. Oh, and he happens to be slugging over .450 which is good pop for a shortstop. Rollins has had a nice season and I think you could make a case that he should be on the team. But start over Reyes- not a chance.

| Could "EY" come off as just a LITTLE more illiterate please? That'd be great... What an idiot.

| Rollins had a horrendous May that sealed his fate: 0 HR, .250 AVG, .279 OBP

| Which is funny because I think Gary/Keith/Ron, or some combination of them, were talking recently about how the public is NOT as in love with the home run anymore and has shifted to caring about other facets of the game.

| I always thought of the homerun as the ultimate ralley killer. Your down 4 and you have 2 on base and someone hits a homer, its a new inning for the opposing pitcher, who can shake it off and finish off the side still with a lead in tact. However, you have two in scoring position and a player like Reyes, who can do pretty much anything with the bat and he hits a single, 2 come in and now that opposing pitcher has to spend 40% of his effort on the runner at 1st. In summary, what a tud, EY can't even speak articulately or form a decent sentence, Jose Reyes speaks much better english than that tool. |
