Default IGT - 07/01/07 -At least Pelf is used to the PCL stadiums

So maybe he has a chance at CBP.

Sorry for the early start... but I wanted to get an IGT.

I have a good feeling that Pelfrey is going to disappoint a few people around here and actually come up with a good performance.

After witnessing the kid in person at Shea vs the Brewers, I should be one of these people, but I am looking forward to seeing what a few months in NO could have done for him.

What I liked the most down about his time down there was that he got his K-rate back up. Hopefully he shows that he's learned some things.

Or he was facing minor league hitting.

I'm sure that has something to do with it as well, but he wasn't even doing that in his first 2 starts down there. He obviously still has a lot to learn to become a consistent ML-level pitcher, but I don't understand why everyone sh*ts on this kid.

It's like people want him to fail.

I really like Pelfrey and I want him to stay. I'm just a little skeptical of minor league stats. I want him to show that up here

Agreed...but it might not happen yet and that doesn't mean that the kid is a bust after 10 ML starts.

Just saw the lineup at Delcos' blog. Willie's going for the throat:

Reyes
Lo Duca
Beltran
Wright
Delgado
Valentin
Green
Gomez
Pelfrey

I don't think he'd disappoint ANYONE here with a good performance. He was just so awful earlier this year that none of us expect it, that's all...
