Give credit where it is due, and it's to Nick.

I don't like this thread title one bit. The condescending tone bothers me. The Mets need to win one more game to make this a great weekend.

IT'S A TRAP!!! The thread title? TOTAL TRAP!!!

Because everyone knows that anything and everything we type is 85.962% responsible for the results of baseball games! The players are merely 14.038% responsible for the outcome! So be sure not to "jinx" them. Because if God sees that you typed something jinx worthy, he is totally going to **** the Mets over

So if this is the foot on throat thread now, if the Mets win, is tomorrow the Foot on Crotch game?

Well, at least that's what God told me last time I prayed.

After that thread title you might as well have Sele, and Schoenweis warming up.

Ah. I usually get "Stop doing that, it's a sin, it's disgusting, and it'll make you go blind."

Some guy named Chad Gaudin no hitting the Stanks thru 5, and Donkeyboy Igawa has given up 4 runs including a homerun to the Bambino Jason Kendall.

Hopefully Embree (ugh) can hold it, or they can at least score another run or two.

As for this game, I am very excited. The idea that we are a win away from talking a potential sweep, is insane. But we have to get there first. A great team smells blood and goes for the kill. Don't be complacent with yesterday's result.

The quote of a loser:

"It's not life or death," Cole Hamels, who took the loss in the second game, told the Phillies' Web site. "Even if we lose the next two games, we still have weeks and months of the season left."
