The end could be nigh for Tony Armas.

He might be the least of the Pirates' problems, having been relegated to mopup duty a month ago, but he also has been the least effective of their pitchers with a 8.92 ERA and nine home runs allowed in just 37 innings.

That includes a two-run home run by
It's guys like this (and he's far from the only one) that make me say Sele is "decent" as a mop-up.

But given the Pirates' history of screwing up pitching talent, I wouldn't mind picking him up for NO if he's released.

How about offering Schoeneweis for him, and if the Pirates agree we can send Armas down and bring up Adkins. Adkins is LH and hasn't been scored on in his last 10 appearances for the Zephyrs.

Sorry Bill. Adkins is RH. He bats LH.

I wouldn't mind getting their RF, however.

Who on our team is Jennings better than? His ERA is 3.66, and here are his last 6 outings:

And this season, why is Lidge so much better than Heilman?

Hate to dance on Soler's career grave, but I spent half of last year explaining that he wasn't "MLB material" and the other half defending myself against his apologists.

Best of luck, Alay. Hopefully, you saved some of those millions of your bonus to open up a used car dealership.
