Default Clemens' Contract....

Does anyone deserve to get fired over that debacle? In hindsight it looks like one of the most crappy contracts in MLB history despite being only a one-year deal.

Was it Cashman's responsibility (if so, he needs to be GONE), or did King George have a gun to his head?

Oh I am sure this was a Steingrabber deal, but Cashman's neck is the one on the noose...

What I'm curious to see is if in fact the Yankees fall so far back that it's obvious they're not going to make the postseason...what does Roger do come late August/Sept???

He'll demand to be waived, then make a statement that he will only pitch for a playoff team.

LMAO

You know what though? Clemens is such an asshat, he probably would try to pull off such crap.

Nah, he'll keep talking about his love for the Yankees and be a 'patriot'. So he can dupe 'em again next year. Meanwhile he will bleed 'em dry. How great is that? Flip 'em all.

It's a fitting end to his career.

Any Yankees fan worth his/her salt would be outraged at his rubbing the Babe Ruth plaque before every start. What a f*cking phony. He probably pissed and sh@t on the plaque when he pitched for Boston.

I could see him getting put on irrevocable waivers by the Yankees in the hope that some team takes him off of their hands for the remainder of the season.......

You can bet that SOME team would claim him if for no other reason than to prevent him from going to a competitor.

hmmmmmmm Mets and Braves are 2 games apart in the standings. Braves get first crack due to their respective finish in the standings last year....

Do the Braves claim him to keep him off of the Mets?

I tend to laugh at "Yankee Pride" and all that stuff, but watching Clemens rub that plaque really IS effing sickening. So, if he'd signed back with the Astros (which only would have taken more MONEY), he'd be rubbing the Craig Biggio plaque out behind the bullpen fence before every game?

What a total tool this guy is.

Clemens on Braves = more losses for them
