Default Duaner Update?

He had surgery in April to insert a screw in his shoulder to correct a hairline fracture. The expected healing time was 6-8 weeks before he could start rehab. Has there been an update?

Yeah, he says the Cuban sandwiches he's been rehabbing on are excellent.

Sanchez is up to 450 pounds and will be having a sumo wrestling Match with Mike Fatcessa next week, so I highly doubt we'll be seeing him on the mound anytime soon.

In all seriousness you have to feel sorry for Dauner. A dumb ass drunk driver basically wrecked his career. That is toatally ****ed up.

That's a good point, but I do have a problem with him showing up to spring training fat like a pig and showing up late , and not working hard.

I know he came into camp overweight, and had a questionable work ethic for a guy who was rehabbing an injury. Still...whats his status right now? If his surgery only took 6-8 weeks before he could pitch again why haven't we heard anything?

I read an update a month or so ago where Sanchez stated he's hoping to be back sometime in September, I'll believe it when I see it.

It is. But if he had learned from Glavine's accident a year earlier and used his seat belt he'd be OK. The shoulder was damaged when he braced himself against the parttition with his (pitching) hand.

I agree completely with you. Last year when the accident happened, I felt really bad for Duaner, but there's no excuse for coming to spring training out of shape and showing up late and everything when you're trying to come back from a major injury.
