Default Pinch-hit stats

Does anyone have a link to them? I tried MLB.com and CBSSportsline.com, but can't find them.

Then I guess "suck" is the Phils (.216) and "pathetic" is the Braves (.214)

Thanks again. Actually, 4th among those with 20+ AB. Not too bad.

Franco is the worst and most worthless player in the majors bar none.

and the .270 SLG and .640 ops?

6 pinch hits. Did he get those all in April-early May? I haven't seen him get a hit in quite some time.

Well he's had more hits since mid-may than he had from April till then.....

The slugging doesn't even matter considering 75% of his PHs he comes in with the runner in scoring position. Any hit from a PHer is a plus in those spots.

You use guys who K and dont hit for average like Easley for when you need that 3 run bomb. You use Gotay or Franco (until someone better comes along because Newhan and Johnson were both far worse) in those spots where you need a baserunner or a hit to tie/win the game.

Thus far WRISP and 2 outs Franco is hitting .330 with an OB% over .400...and when coming into a game thats tied or with the tying run(s) on base this year he's 5 for 13 (.385).

I definitely agree with the way Willie has shifted him to be more of a 2nd or 3rd option its been a long time coming, but I havent seen anyone else come in an do well enough to throw the guy off the roster yet when it comes to PHing. Ledee, Newhan, Johnson, ect have all been pretty terrible in that role.

Now of course this will get turned into that I'm a Franco fan rather than just waiting for someone, anyone, to come along and actually produce at a rate in those spots that actually makes Franco as worthless as people here say he is.

My problem with Franco is he is a non-entity other than as a pinch hitter, and right now the Mets cannot afford a non-entity.

There's this guy on our bench - his name is Damion Easley. Perhaps you've heard of him.

Please, give me one GOOD reason why Franco should be used over Easley, EVER, if both are available...
