Default Pedro throws to hitters...

...didn't see this posted anywhere:

NEW YORK (AP) - Pedro Martinez threw to hitters Tuesday for the first time since rotator cuff surgery last fall, another benchmark in his quest to return to the New York Mets' rotation by August.

They were talking about that during the radio broadcast of the game last night. He's still a long way away, but good news nonetheless.

Honestly, with the way the rotation is going vs. how the bullpen is, I'd rather it be Duaner Sanchez who is this close to returning.

It would be a lot more amusing if you had actually put on the faces of guys who all played together on the same team at the same time, and the right manager...

What am I, a miracle worker?

I thought just putting the faces of some of the 2001-2004 failures would have been enough. Would I have liked to have found a decent picture of Art Howe at the right head angle? Sure. But again, I'm only human.

Poor BobbyV takes a bad rap by being in the pic with those clowns, but I think it makes it funnier than it would have been with Howe

Spectacular work KoQ

Theoretically, he could have kept Heilman in the pic...
