NEW YORK -- The New York Mets, in conjunction with SportsNet New York (SNY), today announced the launch of the "Your 15 Seconds of Mets Fame Commercial Contest."
The competition is open to all Mets fans to produce their own version of a 15-second Mets television spot consistent with the team's slogan, "The 2007 Mets. Your Season Has Come." The winning spot(s), which will be judged by the Mets, will debut on Thursday, July 12, on SNY when the Mets host the Cincinnati Reds. The winner(s) also will receive tickets to a 2007 Mets home game, when they will be recognized during a pregame ceremony on the field, and will have their ad shown on DiamondVision during the game.

To enter, contestants must submit a 15-second spot on DVD, DV or MiniDV format that includes the 2007 Mets campaign ("Your Season Has Come") along with a ticket sales message. Complete contest rules, regulations and guidelines, including eligibility and entry requirements and restrictions, and the official entry form will be published shortly on mets.com. A signed and completed entry form that will be posted on Mets.com must accompany the submission of each spot. Further details are available on Mets.com. Entry deadline is June 30.

The 2007 Mets campaign was developed in conjunction with Ogilvy and Mather. The "15 Seconds of Mets Fame" contest follows the inaugural Mets Anthem Search competition in March.

I'd love to see Delgado with his balls in hand for the National Anthem or somethign similar slipped in there.

Hahhahaahahaha... I'd get it in there, too. In fact, the whole commercial would be about Delgado. Shame it's not a photoshop contest...
