Default More of Rollins with the foot in the mouth

Quote:
"I don't care," Rollins said last week. "I always said I wanted to go to a place and get booed. That means that they respect what you do. If you're not a good player and they don't like you, it's like . . . whatever. If you're a good player and they don't like you, it's because you're not on their team. I like that."
When asked if he stands by his statement, he quickly said: "Yeah.
"They're a good team," he said. "They've always been a good team but over the course of time everything will come out. Our pitching is going to hold up. Our offense going to be there. People talk about our bullpen, but that's all overblown."
"It's something this city [Philadelphia] needs. They already hate the [football] Giants. They might as well feel that way about the Mets."
Oh well, more reason to spit on the Phools tomorrow.

I don't know about his teammates, but Rollins is backing up his play. He's off to a very hot start. Unfortunately for the Phils and their fans, he can't close games.

I dont really care what he says, I just want the Mets to win everyday, regardless of who they play. If they need Rollin's big mouth to give them incentive to beat the Phillies, I would be pretty worried.

Totally agree. If all the Mets do is win, take care of business...everything else takes care of itself, and what Rollins says won't even amount to a pile of sh!t...

Why would we boo a guy who has a career line of .225/.287/.307 in 244 career AB's at Shea? This guy should get a standing ovation everytime he comes to the plate!

"You BETTER boo/cheer at the GREATNESS that is ME! When the bottom drops out, and it will because we STILL have plenty of season, The Phillies will be the 2007 NL East Champions. And before you Mutts fans realize the damage, I'm carrying the World Series trophy."

You know, jroll didn't start talking until Marcus Giles signed with the Padres. What's up with that?

Wait...there's a lady in the leftside of the crowd...looks like she could be pointing and laughing.

Yahoo (which I assume is the AP wire) has some really nice shots from the game today.

Well, that pitching didn't hold up today. How about that bullpen? I guess that 7 run inning was overblown....
