Default Next two games are must wins...

I don't care that it is only June. This team is hemorrhaging right now and someone has to step up and stop the bleeding. There is no way we can go limping back to NY to get sacrificed up to the suddenly resurgent Yankees this weekend. It is time for someone on this team to show the heart of a winner and do something about it. Let's hope that someone is John Maine. A series loss here is completely unacceptable.

Of course you dont care its only June Nick, you are king of the panic button.

All I ask this team is to take 2/3 in the Bronx this weekend, I'll be happy.

The way things are going, the Mets will be lucky to take one from Los Dodgers. Unless Dos Carlos decide to grow some sacks and actually perform up to their expectations, this team is virtually dead in the water.

There's such must wins that if the Mets lose and the Braves win 2 in a row the Mets will be TIED for the NL east and the season will be over.

That would be good too. Sure I may be the king of the panic button and sure I went over board saying we would be behind the Braves and Phillies come July but it isn't looking so foolish right now to think we will be behind the braves.

I want to win against the Yankees as much as the next guy but right now we need to get this ship back on course.

Yeah, but with the way our pen has been throwing meatballs lately, those HRs will likely be off the bats of Godzooki and Cap'n Fistpump...

No, they're not.

Must wins from keeping me putting my hand through a wall?

Yes.

Must win to keep the team from not making the playoffs?

Please.

I'm not sure about "must" wins, but IMO, playing good, sound baseball again, is a must....

Well past due.

Obviously you take ANY win you can get, but what this team desperately needs right now is a quick 4-0 lead and a laugher in the end.

No nail-biting or any tense moments.

A nice, 8-2 win or something like that.

The biggest thing that disgusts me lately and Im sure you agree Dave is the sad bench that seems to pinch hit or get up in a spot when we need a hit. Last night in the 9th, Gotay 3 straight fast balls? Ben Johnson? What are these guys looking for. And Franco....well

Even Dave will agree, that's the least of their problems at the moment.

The bench isn't coughing up 3-0 leads.

The bench isn't the one coming up when the 3-4 guys are up with RISP and not getting the big hit.

Even when the Mets won on Friday, they hit two solo homers and produced a sac fly.

What this team needs is a laugher and one where the hits just keep coming.

Of course there are no "must" wins until you are facing some sort of elimination, but they need to get their collective ass back in gear and splitting these next two after losing last night wouldn't be a signal of that happening. Win these next two. Enough is enough.

I like Gotay, but that AB last night was one of the worst ABs I've ever seen. He didn't even try... which very discouraging.

Don't get me started on Franco. He is a joke. Instead of spending time going to Mets press folks to ***** about Gary Cohen (who wasn't even talking about him), he should be working on trying to improve what little game he has left.

In the grand scheme of things, if Carlos I and II don't get going... nothing is going to matter.
