| ... that the mets don't care. It was a smarting team that left Motown for L.A. on Sunday night. Or was it? Tom Glavine hoped it was. He hoped his teammates were smarting, hoped they were concerned -- not distressed or broken, just concerned. And he seemed unsure they all were. As he discussed the loss, his primary role in it and the recent reversal of the Mets' fortunes, he repeatedly expressed hope that his colleagues were upset by the decline. At one point, later, he peered into the shower room when laughter echoed. 'course, glavine doesn't have too much of a right to be pissed at his teammates after his dogshit performance yesterday. http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/news/gam...=.jsp&c_id=nym |

| F*ck Glavine. He's always blaming something. I'm tired of him. How about he goes out and pitches like something more than a #5 starter a couple of times before he bitches about what his teammates look like in the shower. |

| It sucks that this is happening because it's frustrating, but honestly, if they can snap out of this soon while maintaining the division lead (and even if they don't, it's not a big deal this early), these last 10 days might be the kick in the ass the team needs to get going on some sort of run. |

| I don't think Glavine was implying that he pitched particularly well as much as the team is doing everything many of us suspected they might be doing back in Spring training and what certainly several have suspected over the course of the last two weeks. Far be it for someone who has played on 12 division winning teams to perhaps know, gasp, better than the mofo when a team might be doggin' it. |

| I was just thinking that... that the team now looks like how many (including myself) felt they'd look coming out of spring training... which, obviously, ain't good (almost makes you think it's going to take losing the division lead to make this team wake up). |

that said, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a kernel of truth in the picture he's painting. | |

| I thought the team was playing like crap because everyone was either injured or hiding an injury now it's because they dont care? I cant wait for Pedro's return so galvine and his smirk can be sent to the pen or better yet Atlanta. He pitched like crap and cant get to 296 and all of a sudden he's worried about everyone's demeanor? Is his main concern a world championship or 300 wins? STFU tammy

| If Glavine won as many games as he thinks he should have won based on his complaints of teammates "dogging" it and playing bad defense behind him over the years, he wouldn't be going for 300, he'd be challenging Cy Young for the all-time record. You'll excuse me if I don't put as much faith in Glavine's p*ssy-farts as you do. |

Or maybe he came back this season as a mole for the Braves, and will only pitch when the Mets don't hit. It's a trap!
