| I am not going to even go into the whole why the hell did we re-sign a guy who was mediocre before steroids to a multi year contract, but does anyone know what kind of training he was allowed to take part in before he came back from his suspension? Was he pitching at all even in like rookie ball or anything? I was a bit surprised that he immediately came back to the big club. Why didn't he get some time at AAA or something to work into shape. Right now it looks like either all of his success was thanks to whatever he was injecting into his ass or he isn't reaady to be back on the big stage. |

| IMO, mostly the former and a little of the latter.

| The funny thing is that his velocity is still there. It is the command of his off-speed stuff that seems to be off. He is missing with his stuff right over the plate. I think that he should have had more time at NEw Orleans before joining the big league club. I really believe that Peterson can work with him. As for Schoeneweiss, that guy is done and should be DFA'd (although with that contract that will never happen). The bottom line, in this era of poor starting pitching, one can never have enough good relievers. |

| After about a month of EXST, he went to NO. 7 outings-- 5 scoreless, 2 ER in one, 4 in another. Quote:
