Default Carbon Credits = Tard Tax

I just bought some plane tickets and then they wanted to see if I would tack on a $50 "carbon credit" for myself. Are they f*cking out of their f*cking sick deranged minds? I see... I spend a little extra and suddenly the pounds of carbon that the plane spews out on the trip doesn't matter anymore. All those taxes and fees I gotta pay and now I'm gonna tax myself? Some smartasses are known to say the lottery is an "idiot tax"... well let me tell you something, at least every day in the lottery some idiot wins. Carbon Credits = Tard Tax.

NOBODY wins with these dopey carbon credits. You might as well stick a $50 bill up your ass as far as it will go and then resist the temptation to look in the bowl in admiration the next time you sh*t. Just flush. Then remember to feel good about yourself because you're a big dopey dummy who gives to earth charity. Like Lady Gaia is gonna thank you for your money even though you got on a plane. Get real.

Carbon Credits. Oh... the libs can't wait to make that thing a tax. Wait until they tax you for opening your fridge. It's coming.

There ought to be a "Turd Tax" for all of the crap the Republicans are spewing around here. The Repubs got things going so great you just can't bear the thought of somebody else taking over.

You know, most of the time I ignore your asinine ramblings as those of a deranged old man. But you cannot seriously be in favor of this, can you? If so it may be time for you to visit Frank's facility and not as someone who wears a "Visitor" badge.

No.

We've got standards.

I'm not in favoir of the tax mentioned in the article.

My main problem is the continuous rumblings by some people around here who magnify every screwed up idea some Democrat may come up with, but at the same time ignore the screwed up ideas the Republicans come up with. It seems as though the Republicans main idea is to rape the treasury of all funds and not raise any taxes at all, so the American dollar isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

While the things mccain/ most republicans are calling for are certain to lead to depression, so are the things obama/ most democrats are calling for.

However, given the choice between depression because of spending or depression because of socialist programs being implemented and taxes out my ass, I'd take the first choice.

Spending, borrowing, and printing will kill the value of the dollar. However raising taxes and implementing socialist/communist programs like the dumbocrats want to do will have the same result AND give the government more power over the people. Not good.

Politics aside, war(s) aside, just strictly talking economics, has one president every done more damage to the economy? Not even Jimmy Carter was this bad.

Wrong.

Carter presided over the theoretically impossible trifecta of record interest rates, inflation and unemployment. By impossible, I mean that economists still scratch their heads over this perfect storm.

Besides - gas prices then were actually higher than they are today in present day dollars. Gasoline rationings would have prevented guys like me from being able to make our commutes, thus reducing state and federal tax revenue.

We have inflation, housing market bust, consumer goods pricing out of control as a result of the gas prices, more debt than anyone ever could have imagined, the devaluation of the dollar to the point where Canadian currency was worth MORE at one interval...but interest rates are down.

I'm pretty sure the great depression was the worst. Or it was inappropriately named. People aren't in the streets begging for food yet.

Oh, no? Have you strolled around any urban area lately? We're not yet in a great depression, but things are looking mighty glum for an awful lot of people.

There are homeless people everywhere, all through time dickass. They aren't homeless because unemployment is soooo high like you libs claim. 5% unemployment is far superior to many other countries.

I love the doomsdayers on the MoFo. Everything was perfect when Clinton was around. And everything will be perfect again once a Dem gets into office. Except they will blame the first few years of problems on something Bush left them with.
