I'll see it because I seen all the Die Hard movies and love them. This should be good IMO

Man, if the trailer looks this bad I can't imagine the movie being much better. I guess we don't have enough movies with (yawn) dazzling special effects, and snappy (burp) one-liners.

And I actually thought 3 was the best of the series.

That is complete sacriledge (though I agree the trailer looks like crap). The original Die Hard is by far the best of the series and is one of the best action movies ever. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone else that thought 3 was the best of the series, though I did enjoy it.

Totally agreed. Sometimes you need a great villain to pull an action movie off. Hans Gruber is one my favorite all-time movie villains...

True but he made it from a complete pile of crap to somewhat enjoyable. As BRD said, Hans Gruber in the the first one was a great villian and really made that one the best of the bunch in my mind.

The second one was the worst one of the series, easily. That is one terrible movie. The third one had Jeremy Irons AND Samuel Jackson hatin' on whitey, so it was enjoyable. The original had the combination of Willis one-liners and Alan Rickman that made you forget the badly choreographed gunfighting and totally unrealistic explosions.

I'm now less interested in seeing a new Die Hard than I was before seeing the trailer...

First and the third were the best. Hans Gruber was great. The Bill Clay scene ranks pretty high on the unintentional comedy scale. In 3 the action was non-stop and over the top but all in all pretty entertaining.
