Finishing the detailed list, Mort observed, “Very impressive!” Adding, “If you’re twelve.”

There's a lot more to supporting the troops than jingoistic slogans and wearing an American flag on a man's suit collar. The conservatives have repeatedly cut veterans benefits and it was the present administration that sent our people off to a war which shouldn't have happened, and sent them to war without adequate armored vehicles and safety equipment. "Supporting the Troops" is much more than empty words which are forgotten seconds after they are said.

And words DO matter. When you equate our troops with Nazis, when you call them terrorists, when you admonish a man like Petreus and mock how he speaks and his service, those things are HEARD and FELT by our troops, by our citizens and worst, by our enemy.

And the disgusting insinuation that even simple respect for our military is unnecessary and "jingoistic" is ****ing reprehensible.

Wearing a flag pin and showing common respect for a man like Petreus is "jingoistic"????
