Somehow I get the feeling that next January after the next president is sworn into office, people will still be talking about how Paul was robbed by the MSM and that his revolution is working.

| You're clouding the issue. It's not Obama's version of his heritage vs. reality...it's the idiots who are going to vote for him because of it.

I call bull$hit on this one. I distinctly remember a few years ago when some reporter from Jet or the like grabbed Tiger after a major win and asked him how he felt being an African American dominating a predominantly White sport. Tiger got immediately and visibly annoyed and reminded the guy that he was half Asian (Thai?) as well. The "interview" pretty much ended right there. It's not "hatred" of mixed people. It's irritation at how disengenous it is for an individual to completely disavow half of one's heritage in order to use the other half to get ahead in the world. The only thing Black about Obama is his name. Didn't his White Mother and Grandfather do the vast majority of the parenting while he was growing up?

| Barack Obama - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In the memoir, (Dreams from My Father.[19]) Obama describes his experiences growing up in his mother's American middle class family. His knowledge about his African father, who returned once for a brief visit in 1971, came mainly through family stories and photographs.[14] Yup. Misrepresentation.

| The Political Scene: The Candidate: The New Yorker -Obama, then in his late twenties, hardly knew his father and never met his grandfather Their respective struggles in the world ended painfully, in bitter loneliness. Beside their graves, Obama, a middle-class American, both mourns and, for the first time, understands his African forebears. (his desire for a future in politics likely fueled his "understanding") Besides - did anybody see this guy dance on the Ellen Show? (It was a clip from E's "The Soup". I swear.) I've got more rhythm. (the preceding racial stereotype was an attempt, albeit a poor one, at satirical humor. **** you AND your attorneys.) Oh, and my Sicilian Dad, in July, is darker than Obama....

If you want to vote for someone who, if "Caucasian," wouldn't have the qualifications to be dog catcher, simply because it makes you feel better about your (bigoted) self, be my guest bud. I have no such insecurities.

I'm sorry you're so threatened by a successful black man who speaks well. I have no such insecurities. (For the record though, I didn't caucus for him)

Seriously though...Obama doesn't look anymore white to me than Colin Powell. If someone that looked exactly like Obama were to come up to you on the street kick you in the balls and run away how would you describe him to the police? As a white man? I think most people would say it was a black man that kicked them in the balls. If people weren't aware that his mom was white...he'd be classified as black by most people based his looks/features.
