People keep talking about this 'tough 3 weeks' for them. Here's the problem that nobody is considering (or considered, as it was too early to do so)
If you look at the Cle series, there is NO Sabathai. Baltimore? No Beddard.
Toronto? No Closer and no Aj Burnett. Anaheim, how do we know will have Lackey/Escobar? If that series doesn't have those 2 pitchers, it'll be another simulation of the Bronx series, with 2 stiffs handing up runs a plenty. And we'll never hear the ****ing end of it. And you know Josh Towers, in place of Burnett, will get ass raped today. Problem is that there are too many bad right handers in this league and the Yankees depend on that. See the last month for evidence.
And if a team has no bullpen, how do you expect them to beat the Yankees? That's how they score so many of their gd runs and steal wins, ala yesterday. Blue Jays pissed away 2 games vs them in Bronx. Twins blew at least one. Drays about 4. It never ****ing ends.
There are no teams with bullpens that can put the hammer down, except a team like the Angels. And the Indians' closer pissed away a 3 run lead vs them and will **** his pants.
Face it, the Yankees are making the playoffs due to that offense. Like it or not. I told ya they'd come back and that the Indians would melt. I watch these teams. I'm telling you, NO wc team is built for the long haul. So you give it to the team with more experience and power; The Yankees. Even though they are over-rated, nobody is technically better than them. As pathetic as that sounds.
That's why you don't crow until it is over. |
